GEAPS/K-State Hands-On Training

GEAPS/K-State Hands-On Training
All grain companies need trained and skilled operators and maintenance people. GEAPS and Kansas State University (K-State) have designed the Hands-On Training (HOT) Program to train grain workers on real, operating grain conveying equipment.

The HOT Program is designed for anyone responsible for grain facility equipment maintenance and repair, maintenance training or maintenance-program protocol or systems development. People with a wide range of experience and training are expected to benefit, including frontline maintenance workers, grain facility managers and supervisors with equipment repair and maintenance roles.
Over the course of two and a half days, you will work directly on the following equipment:
  • Bucket elevator
  • Distributors
  • Screw conveyors
  • Bin sweep
  • Chain conveyors
  • Belt conveyors
